Collection: The Hip Priests
Since their inception in 2006, The Hip Priests have released a mighty thirty 7” singles, four Albums, two compilations and three EPs by various independent labels from all over Europe & the USA!!
Fiercely independent and tirelessly driven, the ‘Priests have preached their high energy sermon of misanthropy, hate and contempt across tours of the UK, Europe and USA, and made countless rapturously received club and festival appearances alongside kindred Rock and Roll spirits such as the Hellacopters, Gluecifer, Turbonegro, Zeke, and The Dwarves. Gaining a richly deserved reputation as a white hot live band they play to ever increasing audience both at home and abroad.
2019 saw the release of their fourth full-length album, ‘Stand for Nothing’ which met with even wider critical acclaim and made many magazine ‘Best of Year’ polls -they toured extensively in the UK and Europe and had storming set at Belgium’s Sjock Festival.
Rave reviews pour in for every release, ranging from ‘a band on top of their game & steps ahead of any of their U.K contemporaries’ to ‘if you’re in any doubt about how good these bad boys are then you need locking up’.
After fifteen years some bands would be taking it easy but there continues to be little breakin their determination and activity. Despite the worldwide pandemic, 2020 saw the release of a further three 7" singles in 2020. They have just completed their 5th full length album to be titled ‘Roden House Blues With further shows and festival appearances being booked throughout the U.K. and Europe for 2023.
